Privacy policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
This policy explains what Trident Journal collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password.
What you put in the journal: trades from your Tradovate CSV, account details, rules, notes, goals and screenshots you upload.
Basic technical data needed to run the site, such as your IP address for rate limiting and security.
How we use it
Only to run the journal for you: storing your trades, working out your statistics, sending account emails like verification and password resets, and an optional weekly recap if you turn it on.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
Our hosting provider (Fly.io) runs the app, backups are stored with Cloudflare R2, email is sent through Resend, fonts load from Google Fonts, and payments are handled by Stripe. They process data only to provide those services.
Sharing
Your journal is private to your account. If you create a share link, only the summary on that link is visible to people who have it, and you can delete it at any time.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account and everything in it yourself under Settings, Data. To delete your account and data, or to get a copy of it, email support@tridentjournal.com.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions use secure cookies, and connections are encrypted with HTTPS.
